Tour Schedules

  • EASTER IN GHANA 27th March – 5th April 2024
    • Tour Day 1 –  Arrival Day at the Kotoka International Airport, Hotel check-in, Money exchange, Briefing, Nightlife (options)
    • Tour Day 2 – Depart from Accra for Kwahu, stop at the Bunso Eco Park, make your way to the top of the  Kwahu mountains, enjoy the nightlife, and have a walking tour of the town.
    • Tour Day 3 – Hiking to the Odweanoma mountain, visit and tour the Stone Age Museum and take a trip to the lake town of Adawso, take a ferry ride on the Volta Lake into Afram Plains, and a night out at the Rock City Hotel nightclub. 
    • Tour Day 4 – Paragliding Festival Day to allow adrenaline-loving enthusiasts to test their fear of heights in the air while the more conservative ones explore the festival park. 
    • Tour Day 5 – immerse in the beautiful culture of the Ashanti Kingdom, and visit the villages of Adanwomase and Ntonso, the home of Ghana’s Kente and Adinkra cloth, reclaim your heritage and birthright at the Bosomtwe Lake and the Manhyia Palace Museum. 
    • Tour Day 6 – Reflect on a deep and ancient history at the Assin Manso slave riverside and walk the path of your ancestors at the dungeons of the Cape Coast Castle or the Elmina Castle.

    • Tour Day 2 – Take an Accra City Tour with a visitation of some memorial sites for Pan-Africanists including the W.E.B. Du Bois, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Museum, and the Independence Square as we celebrate our resiliency as Africans from the diaspora.
    • Tour Day 3 – Walk the path of your proud ancestors at the dungeons of the Cape Coast Castle or the Elmina Castle.
    • Tour Day 4 – Reflect on a deep and ancient history at the Assin Manso Slave River side and experience Ashanti culture with a nightlife experience in Kumasi.  
    • Tour Day 5 – Immerse in the beautiful culture of the Ashanti Kingdom while spending the day in an Eco park for adventures including Ziplining, AVT ride, and a canopy walkway when returning to Accra with a sleepover at the Eastern region of Ghana. 
    • Tour Day 6- Marvel at Africa’s unrivaled beauty as we head out into the mountainous countryside for a hike to the Boti Falls, the Umbrella Rock, with a stop at the Aburi Botanical Garden, and or take a Quad bike adventure, for an hour biking out in the mountains to visit a beautiful waterfall.
    • Tour Day 7-  Meet exceptional people with a visit to the famous Nkyinkyim Museum, and Sample some delicious cuisine at the riverside of Ada 
    • Tour Day 8 – Ada cont’d + return to Accra, witness a festival durbar of the chiefs and people of Ada Foah.
    • Tour Day 9 –  Shopping for souvenirs in Accra, dress fittings (for those who may have ordered some custom-made dresses) + Business Networking, and Investment Opportunities forum.

    • Tour Day 2 – Trip to Ada to participate in an art festival at the Nkyinkyim Museum known as The Freedom Parade(optional) and spend the day at an Island resort. 
    • Tour Day 3 – Ada cont’d + return to Accra with a stop at the center of the world, have lunch at the beach,  and explore an Art Gallery. 
    • Tour Day 4 – Reflect on a deep and ancient history at the Assin Manso Slave riverside and walk your proud ancestors’ path at the dungeons of the Cape Coast Castle or the Elmina Castle.
    • Tour Day  5 –  Early morning adventure by hiking and exploring the Kakum forest, and testing our fear of heights on the famous Kakum Canopy Walkway.
    • Tour Day 6 – Take part in an Accra City Tour and visit memorial sites for Pan-Africanists including the W.E.B. Du Bois Center, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah Museum, and the Independence Square as we celebrate our resiliency as Africans from the diaspora, and, attend the Aspaatere Indigenous Cultural Festival and experience the ultimate Ashanti experience in Accra. 
    • Tour Day 7-  Marvel at Africa’s unrivaled beauty as we head out into the mountainous countryside for a hike to the Boti Falls, the Umbrella Rock, with a stop at the Aburi Botanical Garden, and or take a Quad bike adventure, for an hour biking out in the mountains to visit beautiful waterfall at Pokman.

    • Tour Day 4 – Hiking and exploring the Kakum forest, test your fear of heights on the famous Kakum Canopy Walkway,

Important notes

  • Do I need a Visa?
    1. All visitors to Ghana must have a valid passport as well as a visa or entry permit. Exempted are nations of ECOWAS member countries and other countries with which the Government of Ghana has specific bilateral agreements.  It is best to use a travel documents service to make sure everything is prepared for your trip.
  • What are the T&Cs of your cancellation and refund policy?
    • Our refund policy does not include airline tickets but includes the following;
      1. The non-refundable initial deposit of a selected tour package.
      2. If you cancel a trip 45 days before departure, you are entitled to receive 75% of all monies paid minus the non-refundable initial deposit by sending the trip cancellation in writing.
      3. If you cancel a trip between 44 and 30 days before departure, you are entitled to 50% of all monies paid minus a non-refundable initial deposit if you send your cancellation in writing.
      4. If you cancel a trip between 30 and 15 days before departure, you are entitled to receive 25% of all monies paid, minus a non-refundable initial deposit, by sending your trip cancellation in writing.
      5. If you cancel within 15 days of departure, there is no refund; however, 25% of all monies paid less non-refundable can be credited towards another trip within 6 months.

    The itinerary is subject to change for the best interest of the traveler at anytime. Traveler will be notified of any changes. See Tour Schedule above for updates.

  • How much money do I need to pay for a visa?
    1. There are various Ghana visa costs and visa application fees that you must pay. The exact fee can be found at the Ghana embassies/consulates in the traveler’s country, and also online.
  • In terms of safety, what should I be concerned about?
    1.  As an agency, we feel highly responsible for the safety of our guests, and safety is a top priority in all the destinations we promote. However, the ultimate responsibility for your safety and health during the trip rests on you, and you must travel only when you are 100% fit to do so. We have selected hotels that have COVID-19 safety measures in place for guests, and the same applies to the attraction centers. You can rest assured that we will always prioritize your health and safety in all we do at Homecoming Tours. 
  • What is the new Health entry requirement for Ghana?
    1. Passengers arriving in Ghana are now required to obtain a negative PCR test result not more than 72hrs before departure, or undergo a further COVID test on arrival: The Health Declaration Form can be accessed online at www.ghs-hdf.org. 
    2. Proof of yellow fever vaccination is also required as part of the entry process.
  • What do the premium packages entail?
    1. The Premium will guarantee you, your room at the star category chosen, with extra around-the-clock concierge services. The Standard package comes with twin or double sharing in the star category chosen. We will make every effort to ensure that all shared rooms have two separate beds for people of the same gender, as well as a double bed for couples with concierge services.
  • What happens if I can’t stay for ten days but still want to do the group tour?
    1. Regardless of the reason, fares for unused services during the tour, including transportation, hotel accommodation, meals, and sightseeing, are neither refundable nor transferable.
  • What flight should I select?
    1. These are some airlines that our travelers have used in the past: United Airlines, Delta Airlines, Emirates, Brussels Airlines, British Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Royal Air Maroc, Egypt Air, and KLM
    • Please note that we do not have any affiliation with any of these airlines, but plans are in line for talks on partnership. However, Homecoming Tours will assist with a group booking to enable all our guests on one flight. 
  • Are credit cards accepted in Ghana?
    • Yes, Visa cards and Master cards are widely accepted in Ghana but American Express cardholders might struggle a bit to find an ATM or an establishment to use these cards, especially outside of Ghana’s capital and it’s best to take the necessary precautions when paying with cards.
